2024 COACHING STAFF

 

WARREN McCARTY

HEAD COACH & OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR

At the conclusion of his playing career as a QB, Coach McCarty spent 11 years in Pro Football in various roles, including coaching, scouting, and team management. He left Pro Football in 2008 to work for ESPN, and also launched Warrior QB Training, Warrior Consulting, and Warrior Coaching Management. He currently represents 21 NCAA and NFL Coaches. He currently trains QB’s at the NFL, CFL, XFL, and Division 1 level down to middle school, and consults for several NCAA Division 1 programs as well. He has served as a Color Analyst for various local and national talk shows, and frequently appears as a Color Analyst for FanVu TV in Denver. As a Recruiting Specialist, he has placed over 550 young men with NCAA programs, 6 of whom have gone on to become starters in the NFL.

 

CHRIS HELBIG

QUARTERBACKS COACH

Coach Helbig joins the Warriors after completing his EFL career playing professionally with the Vienna Vikings in Europe in 2023. He led the Vikings to 24-1 record the last two seasons, earning All-EFL Honors. As a 2-year starter at Southern Utah University, he earned All-Big Sky Honors throwing for 51 TD’s. Prior to playing D1 football, Helbig earned 1st Team All-KJCCC Honors for Butler Community College. As the QB at Holy Family High School in Broomfield, he set numerous school records and was All-Colorado, 2x Conference Player of the Year, and was All-State 3x as well.

 

PAUL BROWNING

CO-OC/WIDE RECEIVERS COACH

Coach Browning is back for his 4th season coaching with the Warriors. He played in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers and Cleveland Browns, prior to becoming a star in the Arena Football League. Prior to his Professional Career, he set records as an All-American Receiver at CSU-Pueblo, and was a leader and Captain on their 2014 National Title Team. He owns Lionheart Training, focusing on receiver development in Colorado Springs and also runs the 719 Springs Elite Program. Additionally, Coach Browning frequently appears on local and national broadcasts serving as an analyst.

AYDEN EBERHARDT

WIDE RECEIVERS COACH

Coach Eberhardt joins the Warriors this spring and will be coaching receivers. He is the starting Slot Receiver for the CFL’s BC Lions, and just had a breakout rookie season in 2023. Prior to signing with the BC Lions, he enjoyed a standout career at Wyoming. He was a semi-finalist for the National Football Foundation’s William B. Campbell Trophy, and earned the #3 spot on ESPN’s Top Bowl Season Plays of 2021-2022. He was a 1st Team All-State and 1st Team All-Conference Quarterback at Loveland High School

 

CHRIS PERRY

WIDE RECEIVERS COACH

Coach Perry joins the Warriors this season and will assist with receivers. He has coached at the pro level in the Arena Football League, and enjoyed an All-AFL career as a receiver in the Arena Football League with Green Bay and Buffalo. Coach Perry was an All-American receiver in college at Adams State, shattering numerous school, RMAC, and NCAA records. He was the 1995 NCAA DII Athlete of the Year for his exploits on the football field and as a Track All-American as well. He was also the 1995 RMAC Player of the Year. He is a member of the Adams State Sports Hall of Fame.

BLAZE McCARTY

WIDE RECEIVERS COACH

Coach Blaze begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Warriors, after playing for the club for 5 seasons. He wrapped up his 4-year high school career averaging 18.5 yards per catch, with only 1 career drop. He is also embarking on the next phase of his playing career, as he becomes one of the first-ever American players to sign with the CFL Junior League and will be playing in British Columbia in 2024.

 

NICK KASA

TIGHTENDS COACH

Coach Kasa joined the Warriors after completing his NFL career with the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos. 2024 will mark his 4th season with the club. He earned a Super Bowl ring with the Broncos as they defeated the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. He was drafted by the Raiders in 2013 after playing both Defensive End and Tight End for the Colorado Buffaloes from 2009-2012. He earned All-Pac 12 honors as a Tight End as a Junior and as a Senior. Coach Kasa was a high school All-American at Legacy in Broomfield.

CHASE LANCKRIET

TIGHT ENDS COACH

Coach Lanckriet joins the Warriors after completing his college career at Lindenwood in 2023. He was a 4-year starter at Wide Receiver and Tightend at both Northern Colorado and Lindenwood. As a Team Captain for the Lions in 2023, he earned All-OVC-Big South Conference Honors. He wrapped up his collegiate career with 62 catches and 6 Touchdowns. In high school, he starred at Quarterback for Windsor High School, earning All-Conference honors as well.

 

NALU HARBOTTLE

TIGHTENDS COACH

Coach Harbottle joins the Warriors as a coach after completing his college career, winning a National Championship at College of San Mateo in 2022. He was a force for the Bulldogs at Tightend and was a key contributor on Special Teams as well. In High School, Harbottle played on 2 State Championship teams at Valor Christian High School, and competed for the Warriors for 2 seasons as well.

 

ELI SULLIVAN

CO-DC/DEFENSIVE BACKS COACH

Coach Sullivan returns for his 2nd season with the Warriors after a standout career at Nebraska. As a Safety at Nebraska, he earned the admiration of Husker fans for his big hits and knack for being around the ball in crucial situations. He was tasked with covering some of the most elite receivers in the Big 10, many of whom are playing in the NFL now. He was also a Special Teams star, earning Nebraska’s 2019 Special Teams Player of the Year Award. He earned All-Big 10 Academic Honors in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Prior to Nebraska, Sullivan was a 3-sport standout at Longmont High School in Football, Basketball, and Track. He owns Assassin DB Training, specializing in private coaching for Defensive Backs.

 

CARIEL BROOKS

DEFENSIVE BACKS COACH

Coach Brooks joins the Warriors after establishing himself as one of the elite defenders in the CFL over the last decade. He spent 7 seasons in the CFL with Hamilton and Ottawa, earning multiple CFL All-Star Honors while amassing 13 Interceptions, 227 tackles, and 3 sacks over his career. He was a Team Captain for the Tiger-Cats in 2021 and 2022. Prior to joining the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Brooks spent 2 seasons in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals, making the active roster after an incredible career as a Team Captain at Adams State. He earned All-RMAC Honors, totaling 8 interceptions during his tenure with the Grizzlies.

ESAIAS GANDY

DEFENSIVE BACKS COACH

Coach Gandy is an NFL free agent and joins the Warriors for the 2024 season coaching Defensive Backs. Gandy was a 3-year starter at Safety for the Wyoming Cowboys, earning All-MWC Honors as a Senior. He led the secondary unit in Tackles and Tackles for loss his final two seasons, and was a Top-10 defender in the Mountain West Conference in multiple categories in 2020 and 2021. He was a 1st Team All-State Performer at Denver South High School and was a national recruit.

 

KEVIN CLARK

DEFENSIVE BACKS COACH

Coach Clark coached professionally in NFL Europe for 2 seasons with the Frankfurt Galaxy and has coached at the High School level in Colorado. He joins the Warriors for the 2024 season coaching Defensive Backs. As a player, Clark was a standout Cornerback and Returner for the Denver Broncos for 5 seasons. He was the NFL’s Kickoff Return Leader in 1990 and was a key contributor on the Broncos 1987 and 1989 AFC Championship Teams. He appeared in two Super Bowls with the Broncos. He finished his pro career in the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimos and BC Lions. He was an All-Conference performer at San Jose State in college. He trains Defensive Backs privately in the Denver Metro area.

DR. RICKY BREWER

CO-DC/LINEBACKERS COACH

Dr. Brewer is back with the Warriors with a diverse resume both on the field as a player and in the community as a leader in education. He earned All-American and All-Conference honors as a Linebacker at CSU. He was a Team Captain in 2010 and earned 3 letters while wearing the Green and Gold. At the conclusion of his playing career, Coach Brewer began a path into public education administration. He holds a Doctorate Degree from Denver University. He is the Color Analyst for CSU Football and also serves as a Color Analyst on FanVu TV Broadcasts during the football season.

 

KACIN NOWLIN

LINEBACKERS COACH

Coach Nowlin returns to the Warriors staff for his 2nd season leading the Linebackers. He recently wrapped up his college playing career at Western State. Coach Nowlin played all 3 Linebacker spots for the Mountaineers, as well as snapping. Coach Nowlin was an elite high school wrestler and standout Linebacker and Snapper for Pine Creek High School. He earned 1st Team All-State Linebacker honors, and as a Defensive Captain he helped lead the Eagles to multiple 4A State Titles. He operates Now-Sports Customs in Colorado Springs.
